Marcus Rashford, the England and Manchester United winger, currently playing on loan for Aston Villa, is looking to secure a move to Barcelona in Spain in the summer transfer window. It is understood that the talks between Marcus Rashford and Barcelona are already in the initial stages, and the 27-year-old is willing to lower his salary to get the move completed.
Notably, after the arrival of Ruben Amorim as the new manager of Manchester United, Marcus Rashford was sidelined from the team due to his lacklustre performances and not working hard enough in training. Although the Englishman is contracted to the Red Devils until 2028, there is a fair chance of him joining Barcelona as their new number 10 especially with Ansu Fati not performing quite as well for the Spanish club this season.
Ruben Amorim not looking to bring Marcus Rashford to Manchester United fold for next season
As per the report published in Mundo Deportivo, to get his move completed to Barcelona, Marcus Rashford has given the reins to highly experienced agent Pini Zahavi, who is closely linked with the Catalan giants recently. The relationship between the agent and Barcelona Club President Joan Laporta could help him get his wish to be the newest addition in manager Hansi Flick’s squad.
Moreover, with Ruben Amorim not looking to bring Marcus Rashford to the Manchester United fold for the next season, he would want to play for a club with stature like the Red Devils, and in that sense, Barcelona fits the bill perfectly. It is important to note that Barcelona have already looked to sign the Englishman on loan in the winter transfer window, but the move didn’t go through due to the financial constraints of the club.
