In a recent sim session, which isn't anything too unusual for Max Verstappen, given his penchant for racing even off tracks, a popular question concerning placing of a pineapple on a pizza gained traction. What had happened was that during one of his live streams, wherein the four-time world champion from The Netherlands was engaged in sim racing himself asked the long-standing question.

Does a piece or several pieces of Pineapple belong on the pizza?

When jokingly asked the question himself, Max Verstappen, in a light-hearted and low key manner dismissed the possibility of preferring a pineapple on an Italian pizza. The same, is actually considered an outrage by countless Italians.

As a matter of fact, the same question also enraged Italian Enzo Bonito (albeit in a playful manner), who was with Verstappen at that time. Verstappen's response, playfully contentious, would certainly have irked some, it was widely believed.

Interestingly, while most Italians don't generally don't like a pineapple on their pizza, it isn't that they are really concerned whether some would like to have the same.

But this Max Verstappen disapproving of having Pineapple on his Pizza is really something that spread on social media not long after the four-time world champion expressed his honest feeling over his recent sim session.

This occurrence, therefore, was covered extensively by mainstream F1 publications, including the renowned names across Europe, which happens to be the birthplace of not just Pizza, but even Formula 1.

That being said, it is a longshot to even consider whether Max Verstappen, would at some stage, join Ferrari; the team currently being piloted by Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc with the Italian stable struggling for good consistent results in 2025. The next F1 stop is at Spa-Francorchamps, home to the famed Belgian Grand Prix, which Verstappen has excelled at in the past. The very same picturesque venue where the likes of Kimi Raikkonen have reigned supreme, the Finn earning the nickname of "King of Spa" for his dominance at the venue. Live race begins on Sunday.
