
The 2024 European Championships has reached its penultimate stage where the three-time champions, Spain will take on England in the Euro 2024 final in Berlin on July 15th. The Euros is a quadrennial football tournament which is organised by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA).
After the end of the qualification round, 24 nations from the European continent take part in the UEFA Euros with some of the best footballers from the world, including the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Antoine Griezmann, Kylian Mbappé, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Robert Lewandowski and many more. Wayne Rooney is the former English footballer and now serves as England’s professional football manager. He is one of the top goal-scorers in the Euros for England with six goals in 10 matches from 2004 to 2016.

Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku is in the ninth spot in the list of players to score most goals in Euro. In 10 matches in the Euros since 2016, Lukaku has scored six goals so far.
8. Patrick Kluivert - 6 goals
Patrick Kluivert is a former footballer from Netherlands, who now serves as Dutch football coach and Sporting Director. He has scored six goals from nine matches he played in the Euro from 1996 to 2004.
7. Ruud van Nistelrooy - 6 goals
Former Dutch footballer and current football coach Ruud van Nistelrooy is the fifth highest goal scorer in the Euros. Being a part of Dutch football team in 2004 and 2008 Euros respectively, Nistelrooy has scored six goals from nine matches in the contest.
6. Antoine Griezmann - 7 goals
French football forward Antoine Griezmann is one of the leading goal scorers for France in the European competition. The 33-year-old has scored seven goals from 17 matches played since 2016.
5. Harry Kane - 7 goals
English footballer Harry Kane is the fifth highest goal scorer in the Euros. Known for his goal scoring abilities, Kane has scored seven goals in 17 matches in Euros.
4. Álvaro Morata - 7 goals
Spanish striker Álvaro Morata is one of the top goal scorers for Spain. The 31-year-old has scored seven goals in 16 matches he played in the tournament so far. He first appeared in the Euros for Spain in 2016.
3. Alan Shearer - 7 goals
England’s top goal scorer in the Euro, Alan Shearer comes third in the list of players to score most goals. The former English striker has scored seven goals from nine matches from 1992 to 2000.
2. Michael Platini - 9 goals
Former French footballer and a three-time Ballon d'Or winner, Michael Platini, who has also served as a President for UEFA, is the second highest goal scorer in the Euros. Being a part of France’s victorious campaign in 1984, Platini has scored nine goals in five matches in the Euro.
1. Cristiano Ronaldo - 14 goals
Portuguese star, Cristiano Ronaldo tops the list for scoring most goals in the Euros. Having played in the tournament since 2004, Ronaldo has scored 14 goals in 25 matches so far. He was a part of the Portugal football team when they won their first-ever Euro title in 2016.
