With speculations around MS Dhoni’s future in Indian Premier League (IPL) coming to an end have been spreading like wildfire. However, after winning the record fifth title with Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2023, MS Dhoni wished to play another season for the fans, these speculations were back in picture after he passed on the captaincy baton to Ruturaj Gaikwad on the eve of the IPL 2024

But with the IPL 2024 campaign to an uncertain end with a 27-run defeat against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), news around that it could be MS Dhoni’s last took the internet on fire. However, the man himself did not speak a word about his future in IPL, but CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan on Monday, May 20 confirmed that the legend hasn’t conveyed any retirement decision.

But recent reports reveal that the wicketkeeper-batter will travel to London to treat his muscle tear and will then decide on his future in the cash-rich league. “Dhoni might head to London for his muscle tear surgery which saw him struggling during the IPL. He is not fully fit but wants to continue to play cricket and he will only decide about his future after treatment which will take him five to six months to recover,” sources told IANS.
