In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 ongoing game between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, LSG skipper Rishabh Pant produced a solid knock from his bat to help his team to post 227/3 on the board in 20 overs. Playing his final game of the league’s season, Pant came heavily on RCB bowlers and smashed an unbeaten 118 off just 61. His extraordinary innings was studded with 19 boundaries (11 fours and eight maximums). The southpaw’s batting performance will provide him some relief as he struggled to be among the runs throughout the competition.

Noting his belligerent innings, netizen appreciated him through different social media platforms. An X user named Johns showered praise on the left-handed batter and wrote, “HUNDRED FOR RISHABH PANT...!!! Hundred from 55 balls for the main man of Lucknow, What a knock, incredible against Bhuvi led bowling attack by the Captain of LSG.”

Mitchell Marsh solidified LSG’s innings

Before Rishabh Pant, opener Mitchell Marsh stepped up and launched an onslaught on the visitors. The right-handed batter took Bengaluru’s bowling unit to the cleaners and notched up his sixth IPL fifty in just 31 deliveries. He concluded his knock on 67 after playing 37 balls. His innings included nine boundaries (four fours and five maximums).

Marsh will end the tournament as LSG’s most-successful batter in the season. RCB, who are playing without their premier pacer Josh Hazlewood, got beaten mercilessly by Pant. Noting Challengers’ bowlers’ performance, it can be said that the IPL 2016 runners-up must have missed the services of the lanky Aussie speedster.
