Mumbai Indians’ (MI) owner Nita Ambani was seen taking safety measures for Covid-19 after the IPL 2025 clash against Delhi Capitals (DC) at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on May 21. After the game, when MI fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was having a chat with the franchise owner, she reminded him to take safety measures and also sanitized his palm before shaking hands. Not only, Nita Ambani was also seen personally ensuring that the other players are also following the measures.

Nita Ambani’s cautious approach also highlighted the need to take safety measures with the cases of Covid-19 have seen rising again in India from the past few days. The popular virus turned into a global pandemic in 2020 and 2021 and we witnessed a complete lockdown where all the streets and public areas went empty. Now, after three-four years of the pandemic, the rising case has again concerned the citizens.

Jasprit Bumrah and Mitchell Santner shine in MI’s 59-run win over DC

The five-time champions are now officially qualified for the playoffs after their 59-run win over DC at Wankhede Stadium. The Hardik Pandya-led side has now won eight out of their 13 league matches so far and are standing at the fourth place in the points table. For MI, after Suryakumar Yadav scored a match-winning 73*(43) runs, Jasprit Bumrah and Mitchell Santner shone with the ball as the hosts successfully defended the total of 180 runs.

MI posted 180/5 in their 20 overs with the help of Suryakumar’s half–century. In reply, DC were bowled out for 121 runs in 18.2 overs. Bumrah registered figures of 3/12 while Santner took three wickets by conceding 11 runs in four as MI registered a convincing to confirm their playoffs spot.
