The ongoing match between Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants was nothing short of an entertainer. After being invited to bat first, the MS Dhoni-led CSK posted 217 in their 20 overs. However, in the Lucknow innings was nothing less. While Kyle Mayers scored a 22-ball 53 before falling off Moeen Ali, Nicholas Pooran also showed his class. In his innings of 32, Pooran smashed two boundaries and three maximums, two of which came against all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.

Seeing his hitting prowess, former cricketer-turned commentator Suresh Raina took a sly dig. After his reverse-hit off Ravindra Jadeja in the 15 th  over of the match, S uresh Raina said, “not sure which ‘chooran’ Nicholas Pooran had in Lucknow”.

It is to be noted that Nicholas Pooran was bought for INR 16 Crore by Lucknow Super Giants, which made him the most expensive keeper in the history of the competition.
