Nottingham Forest is enjoying a dream run currently and one of the main figures of their squad has been striker Callum Hudson-Odoi. With 8 G/A in 32 games so far, Odoi has been clinical in some crucial situations and moments, helping Nottingham produce quite a lot of favourable results. However, there has been recent speculation about the future of the 24-year-old attacker with his current contract expiring in June 2026. The club is reportedly negotiating a new contract with the player’s representatives but it was recently reported that multiple clubs across Europe are looking to acquire Hudson-Odoi’s services.
In such a scenario, it is understood that the striker will first evaluate his options before penning down a new deal with Forest. The different clubs interested in Odoi are said to be Roma and Napoli along with two other Premier League clubs. While an offer from some other top club could be lucrative for the player, staying at Nottingham Forest will also give Odoi European exposure next season as Forest seems to be on their way to qualify for the Champions League next season.
Nottingham Forest face Man City in FA Cup semi-final on Sunday
Along with a splendid Premier League campaign, Forest are also enjoying a superb domestic cup run as they are in the semi-finals of the FA Cup and are set to face Manchester City on the weekend. A win over the Cityzens could put Forest agonisingly close to getting their hands on some silverware this season. They are currently trailing Man City in the PL table as well by a single point and have previously defeated them in the Premier League.
Coincidentally, Callum Hudson-Odoi was the hero in Forest’s 1-0 triumph over Man City back in March, and the manager Nuno Espirito Santos will hope that he can repeat his heroics in this FA Cup semi-final fixture as well. Meanwhile, the future of Hudson-Odoi at the club remains a matter to be decided soon.
