A video went viral on social media on September 4, Monday, wherein a young fan of Lionel Messi, one of the greatest footballers of all time, scored a goal with a stunning free kick. The boy showed proper technique to set up the free kick, before curling it over the wall of opposing players with his right foot to find the back of the net, just like the footballing legend from Rosario, Argentina would do with his left foot.
Tansu Yegen, the co-founder of Appcircle mobile application and one of the biggest personalities on Twitter, who shares short clips of unique happenings around the world, brought the young Lionel Messi fan into focus through his official account. He embedded the video of the boy taking a free kick, captioning it, “This was not expected”.

In the short clip lasting 19 seconds, the young fan of Lionel Messi was seen flattening the surface where the ball was placed, first and foremost. Then, he took a few steps back, created enough room for himself to run, before kicking the ball with his right foot.

It led to the ball flying viciously over the jumping wall of players, beating the outstretched right of the goalkeeper in the background. The ball smashed into the inside of the left post, before ending up in the back of the net.
A slew of reactions on Twitter saw the football fans hailing the boy as the future star of the sport. Some compared him with Lionel Messi, while others appreciated the proper technique in taking the free kick.
Also, after scoring the stunning free kick, the boy happily screamed before making his way to the camera to say a few words in his native language. He also took the name of Lionel Messi, to showcase his fandom for the footballing legend.
