Australia captain Pat Cummins took a sly dig at Indian fans by giving a cold reply to fans who asked about his favourite memory in India. Cummins interacted with fans ahead of the clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. His side SunRisers Hyderabad will lock horns with Faf du Plessis’ led side on April 15, Monday, at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Cummins is currently in India to lead the Hyderabad-based franchise in the 17th edition of the IPL. 

During an Instagram question and answer session on Sunday, a fan asked the Aussie captain to share his favourite memory in India. The 30-year-old subtly took a dig at Indian fans by sharing the victory picture of the 2023 World Cup when Australia lifted the trophy for the sixth time. Cummins’ cold response to the question reminded fans of November 19, 2023, when his side defeated India at the Narendra Modi Stadium in the finale.

The Australian captain also shared with his fans that his favourite Indian food is Pav Bhaji. Apart from this, the cricketer had a hilarious response to a fan who asked him how he could increase his height. Cummins posted a picture of him with South African pacer Marco Jensen and wrote, “Speak to Marco”. Notably, Jansen is one of the tallest cricketers with a height of approximately six feet and nine inches.

Coming back to the cash-rich tournament, Cummins was appointed the captain of the Hyderabad-based franchise after being roped in for ₹20.25 Crore at the auction. Since the beginning of the season, Cummins led the Orange Army to three wins in five matches.
