Star Gujarat Titans opener Sai Sudharsan continued his great form in the ongoing IPL 2025 as the left-hander went on to score his second IPL hundred. With the help of his knock, GT became the first team to get officially qualified for the playoffs along with Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings. Chasing a target of 200 runs, Sudharsan smashed an unbeaten 108*(61) along with 93-run knock by skipper Shubman Gilll as GT won the match by 10 wickets. Sudharsan is now the leading run scorer in IPL 2025 with 609 runs from 12 matches at an average of 55.36 and a strike rate of 156.55. 

Coming to bat first after losing the toss, DC posted a total of 199 runs for the loss of three wickets in their 20 overs with KL Rahul top scoring with 112*(65) runs hitting 14 fours and four sixes. DC lost their first wicket at the score of 16 runs in 3.2 overs, as Faf du Plessis got out after scoring just five runs. After that, KL Rahul and Abishek Porel put up a partnership of 90 runs for the second wicket. Porel got out after scoring 30 runs off 19 balls hitting one four and three sixes. After that, skipper Axar Patel joined Rahul at the crease as the duo added another 45 runs before Patel losing his wicket after scoring 25(16) runs with one four and two sixes. After that, Rahul went on to complete his hundred in just 60 balls. 

Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill shine as GT reach at top of the table

Chasing the winning target, skipper Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan didn't any wicket fall throughout the innings as GT chased the winning target in 19 overs. Sudharsan remained unbeaten on 108*(61) runs hitting 12 fours and four sixes. while scored 93* off 53 balls hitting three fours and seven sixes. 

With this win, GT now reached at the top of the points table with nine wins and three losses. After GT, RCB are at the second spot and PBKS are currrently placed at the third spot in the points table.
