Following Israel Adesanya's middleweight title victory against Alex Pereira, who had previously defeated the Nigerian thrice before the Saturday's bout, former two division champion Conor McGregor shared a cryptic tweet, leaving fans in confusion. The 34-year-old Irishman tweeted "Quadrilogy's are fun" and fans are convinced that McGregor will soon square off against Dustin Poirier for their fourth UFC fight.

Adesanya, 33, held his calm and composure and delivered in the second round as he knocked out Pereira to win the UFC middleweight title for the second time. While Conor reacted on the UFC 287 main card event, fans assumed 'The Notorious' is eyeing a possible fight against Poirier.

Fans await McGregor-Poirier fight

Following the Stylebender's revenge victory over Poatan in the UFC 287, McGregor's "Quadrilogy's are fun" tweet has gone viral as the fans believe the 34-year-old will fight Pereira again. McGregor and Poirier faced each other at the UFC 178 in 2014, when the Irishman won the bout, however, Poirier went on to win the next two fights  at the UFC 257 in January 2021 and at the UFC 264 later that year.

Check some viral reaction on McGregor's tweet:

Earlier in July 2021, McGregor suffered a gruesome leg injury  during his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier at the UFC 264. The Irishman hasn't stepped into the octagon since then and  is currently scheduled to make his long-awaited return to the UFC later this year against American star Michael Chandler.
