The Friday evening was a perfect start to a thrilling weekend. In the 16th match of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Gujarat Titans were up against Punjab Kings. After conceding 189 while bowling, the Titans batted exceptionally well to chase it down in their quota of 20 overs. But it was not as easy as it sounds. The game went down to the wire with Gujarat needing 12 off last two balls.
And Rahul Tewatia brought out his best mode to seal the game for his team with two consecutive sixes. Although Tewatia hit the winning runs, some interesting play in the game led to this amazing finish. On the 4th delivery of the final over, David Miller was at the crease with Gujarat needing 13 runs to win. Odean Smith did well to not concede a boundary and almost produce a dot ball.
But a last-moment brain-fade from Smith to throw the ball at the stumps and concede a run through overthrow brought Tewatia on the strike. And the rest is already known. Mentioning the same, Tewatia shared a tweet and thanked David Miller for bringing him on the stiek to finish the game. "Thanks for the single mili paa ? @DavidMillerSA12," tweeted Tewatia after the game.

On this tweet from Tewatia, the team's official handle also left a comment. "Small drops make an ocean, right @DavidMillerSA12 ? ?," they wrote in reply to Tewatia.
Gujarat make it three in three!
On the back of this last over heroics from Rahul Tewatia and an amazing innings from Shubman Gill, the Hardik Pandya-led team won their third game of the season. Also, they became the only team to remain undefeated so far in the tournament. Gujarat had defeated Lucknow in their opening game. Then they beat Delhi Capitals and on Friday they beat Punjab Kings to make it three in three.
