On Tuesday, June 3, history was scripted as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) claimed their maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) title, beating a top quality side like Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the summit clash of IPL 2025 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The win was even more special as Virat Kohli, who has been with the team since day one, lifted the trophy with the reds, finally ending his IPL trophy drought of 17-long years.
However, the celebrations are likely to continue for days to come, speaking on sidelines of the IPL 2025 Final, their former captain and batting stalwart, Virat Kohli confirmed of team’s victory parade, following which the franchise also confirmed the development. The RCB fans although might have had a sound sleep after their team’s elusive trophy win, they are set to see grand celebrations on Wednesday, June 4.
RCB to host IPL 2025 victory parade in Bengaluru on June 4
Taking to social media handles, RCB confirmed on their post-win celebration plans. In a post on X (formerly called Twitter), RCB’s social media handle wrote, “RCB Victory Parade in Bengaluru!! This one’s for you, 12th Man Army. For every cheer, every tear, every year. Loyalty is Royalty and today, the crown is yours”.
Elaborating further on it, the victory parade is set to commence from the Vidhana Soudha from 4:00 pm IST on June 4 and will be carried on till the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The franchise also added that more details on the victory parade will be shared later in the day, the lbroadcast of the same will be available on Star Sports.
Speaking of the match, after posting a competitive total of 190/9 on the board, RCB bowlers did enough despite a late flurry of boundaries from Shashank Singh, to secure the first major trophy for the franchise in men’s cricket. On the back of a brilliant bowling spell from Krunal Pandya (2/17), RCB restricted PBKS to 184/7 and cruised to register a six-run win.
