Real Madrid used the power of the internet to search for a Moroccan teenager named Abderrahim, whose family was killed by the earthquake in the Al Haouz region on Friday, September 8. The club saw the kid giving an interview in a Real Madrid shirt and sought to help the youngster in these tragic times.

The video of a teenager wearing Real Madrid’s iconic white jersey stirred the people of Spain and prompted a number of Madridistas to react. According to El Chiringuito, Real Madrid carried out a search in the hope of locating the young boy in order to help him. The viral footage showed the young boy holding back his tears and telling the reporter about the tragedy he experienced last Friday night.
On the night that the earthquake hit, his parents, siblings, and grandfather died in the disaster that hit at a magnitude greater than 6. After this tragic incident, Abderrahim moved in with his aunt and wanted to continue with his studies to become a doctor or a teacher. The teen was discovered through social media and has been incorporated into Real Madrid’s academy along with other help to move him to Spain.
