The five-time champions haven’t been able to open their winning account yet in the latest season of the tournament. The MI captain has a total of 22 runs from both the matches in the IPL 2023, and he urged the senior members, including him, to step up in the upcoming matches.

Coming back to the game, CSK captain MS Dhoni won the toss and invited their opponents to bat first. On Mumbai’s side, Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan provided a good start to the game; however, wickets started to fall soon, and Mumbai managed to score 157 runs. In the second innings, it was the local boy, Ajinkya Rahane, who, in his explosive knock, scored 61 runs off 27 balls and helped Chennai register their second win of the tournament.

In their next fixtures,  MI are scheduled to travel to the Arun Jaitley stadium to face Delhi Capitals on Tuesday, April 11, while  CSK will host Rajasthan Royals at the Chepauk Stadium on Wednesday, April 12.
