There is a big news doing rounds on the internet and it’s not about India’s next match. With cricketer KL Rahul reportedly set to tie the knot with Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty, he isn’t the only one. Another cricketer Shardul Thakur is all set to get married next year.
The Indian bowling all-rounder who got engaged in 2021 is all set to tie the knot with fiancé Mittali Parulkar in February 2023. Entrepreneur Parulkar opened up on her wedding with the star cricketer. The two are set to tie the knot on February 27, 2023, the Hindustan Times reported quoting Thakur’s fiancé Parulkar.
She further added that the ceremonies will start from February 25, 2022 and will have 200-250 guests. “His schedule is packed; he is playing until February 24 and will only be able to join by February 25. So, I have taken charge. We are expecting almost 200 to 250 guests at the wedding; it’s going to be too hectic,” Parulkar said.
The bride-to-be further added that the wedding will take place on the outskirts of Mumbai in Karjat. She also revealed that the couple were hoping to have a destination wedding in Goa but had to scrap the idea as logistics and a few other things were to be seen.
“Initially, we wanted to have a destination wedding in Goa, but given the logistics and so many people involved, it would have been extremely difficult,” she was quoted by Hindustan Times.
The Indian cricketer last featured in the third ODI against Bangladesh, which India won 227 runs. However, the Men in Blue lost the three-match ODI series 1-2 against the hosts.
