Indian cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar shared an emotional note for his son Arjun Tendulkar, who made his debut in the IPL for Mumbai Indians. The 23-year-old fast bowler made his maiden IPL appearance against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium, where the five-time champions registered a stellar five-wicket win.

Arjun Tendulkar kicked off proceedings with the ball for Mumbai and bowled two solid overs giving away 17 runs with an economy of 8.50. Celebrating this monumental moment, Sachin shared a heartfelt note talking about this game is the start of a ‘beautiful journey’ in his professional cricket career.

With Arjun Tendulkar’s debut for the five-time champions, he and his father Sachin Tendulkar became the first father-son duo in IPL history. The Indian cricketing great was the one of first players to be part of the Mumbai Indians as he was one of the ambassador players listed before the first IPL season in 2008.
Since then, Tendulkar went on to play five years of the Mumbai-based franchise and scored 2281 runs in 76 matches while winning one IPL title in his last season (2013). Now 10 years later, his son, Arjun Tendulkar played his first match for the Mumbai Indians.
