In a latest update, it is being informed that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to reappoint T Dilip as Team India’s fielding coach. According to reports, the former fielding coach has been recalled after previously serving under Rahul Dravid’s coaching stint and later for a year under Gautam Gambhir.
T Dilip, whose contract was initially set to run until May 2025, wasn’t renewed by the BCCI. As a result, the Hyderabad-born, along with assistant coach Abhishek Nayar and a few other members were relieved of their respective roles in the Indian cricket setup. As per several reports, the decision of their sacking was eventually taken after a meeting between the key members in April.

A source close to the development informed, as quoted by The Indian Express, “We have decided to reappoint Dilip for a year and he will be traveling with the Indian team for England. His contract so far is for one year.”

With T Dilip highly likely to rejoin the Indian side, he is set to leave for England around June 6 in company of Gautam Gambhir, batting coach Sitanshu Kotak, bowling coach Morne Morkel and assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate.
