In the ninth edition of the T20 World Cup, a 20-team tournament, there are four groups of five teams each, vying to win the coveted trophy in the USA and the Caribbean. The Group B of the tournament includes England and Australia, the last two T20 World Cup champions, paired alongside Oman, Namibia, and Scotland.

Australia appointed Mitchell Marsh as the captain of the team for the T20 World Cup 2024, giving him the added responsibility of taking them forward in the shortest format of the game. The Australian cricket team boasts a plethora of experienced players, including names like David Warner, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Matthew Wade, Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, and Azam Zampa, who have already tasted T20 World Cup triumph in 2021.

With such a great quality of players right throughout their lineup, Australia are favourites to defeat the likes of Oman, Namibia, and Scotland, along with playing a highly competitive match against old enemy England, to make the Super 8 stage of the T20 World Cup 2024.
