While West Indies faced a slump in their performance in the last decade, they did register a victory against defending champions England towards the end of last year, marking their comeback in the T20I format. The squad includes names like Shamar Joseph, who made name for himself in the global cricketing scenario off lately. The West Indies will have two major advantages in the ongoing tournament, playing at the home-ground and will get a relatively easier start to the tournament facing lower-ranked teams PNG and Uganda in their initial matches.
