KL Rahul looked at his best with the bat against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, and continued Delhi Capitals (DC) dominance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Riding on his unbeaten 93 off 53, Delhi hammered Bengaluru by six wickets, and won their fourth consecutive game in the competition. Chasing 164 runs, Delhi saw themselves in trouble after losing their top-order batters Faf du Plessis, Jake Fraser-McGurk, and Abhishek Porel at a score of 30 in 4.3 overs. In the crunch situation, Rahul held his nerves and played some fine strokes from his bat to shatter the confidence of RCB bowlers.
He got support from Tristan Stubbs, who stood with him and played a knock of an unbeaten 38 off 23. Delhi completed the chase in 17.5 overs with Rahul’s winning six against Yash Dayal. After taking his team home, local boy Rahul was seen in an aggressive mood to celebrate the success. He thumped his chest and hit the bat on the surface to claim that it’s his ground, reminding everyone how M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru is his home despite not playing for RCB in the IPL currently.

DC made magnificent comeback in the first innings during RCB clash in IPL 2025
Prior to the start of the game, DC captain Axar Patel won the toss and elected to bowl first. RCB opener Phil Salt looked in sensational touch and plundered 25 runs from Mitchell Starc in the match’s third over. In the fourth over, Salt got run out due to miscommunication with Virat Kohli. Following the English player’s departure, the home side kept on losing wickets in regular intervals and posted only 163/7 in their 20 overs.
Vipraj Nigam and Kuldeep Yadav troubled the hosts and got two wickets respectively. Both spinners not only grabbed wickets for DC but also contained the flow of runs. Kuldeep got 2/17 in his four overs while Nigam bagged 2/18 figures after bowling his four-over spell. In the end, Rahul’s batting brilliance got him the player of the match (POTM) award.
