The 17th edition of the Indian Premier League is going on in full swing, and while fans have shown excitement for “India ka sabse bada tyohaar”, speculations are rife that MS Dhoni will hang up his boots after the 2024 season. The former CSK captain has been with the franchise since its inception and under his leadership, the Yellow Army won their five IPL titles. Ahead of the 2024 season, ‘Thala’ passed the captaincy baton to youngster Ruturaj Gaikwad

There have been speculations that the 2024 season would be MS Dhoni’s last. However, there are a few reasons that tell us otherwise. In this article, we will go through three factors why Dhoni won’t retire after IPL 2024.

Apart from handing over the captaincy to Gaikwad, Dhoni demoted himself down the batting order. However, the former CSK captain has repeatedly given his fans a glimpse and treated them with his vintage form. In a few games, Dhoni has played crucial knocks and added finishing touches to his side’s innings. This means that the 42-year-old is still in form and can make a few more cameos for the side in the next season.
