Just one day remains before IPL hits back on our screens. Ahead of the opening game on April 9, both Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians are gearing up in nets. However, as 99% perspiration also needs 1% inspiration to set the perfect mood, RCB skipper Virat Kohli was seen sharing a circle on Thursday. Following the practice sessions, RCB skipper delivered an inspirational speech to the squad. Kohli assured players full support from the management and motivated the squad to make most of the opportunity.

Kohli's words for Royal Challengers Bangalore squad for IPL 2021

Starting his speech with the energetic atmosphere IPL sets, India skipper touched upon a lot of factors. Kohli talked about expectations from squad, learnings from last season, and support from management. Brimming with positivity, Delhi-born cricketer's speech focused on efficiency and enjoyment at the same time. The full speech was also shared by Royal Challengers Bangalore through their official Twitter handle.

As it was seen, Kohli was gelling well with franchise veterans as well as new signings ahead of the game against Mumbai Indians. The video also features South Africa veteran AB de Villiers, who feels excited more than ever. If the former Proteas skipper is to be believed, he is feeling 'younger than ever' after training sessions with the squad.

While the fans and players are excited for T20 cricket fest to commence, it will be interesting to see how Bangalore come over their challenges. Following the withdrawals, side will miss Josh Phillipe throughout the season. Adding salt to the wounds, Kohli led side will also miss Devdutt Padikkal and Daniel Sams in the opening game due to COVID-19. On the other hand, defending champions Mumbai Indians have everyone with them and look set to get the ground running from the first day.
