Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell are the pillars of the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League, shouldering the RCB unit in almost all the matches of the IPL 2023. Currently in hot form, Kohli and Plessis duo have been hitting runs in all the matches of the tournament, with the RCB skipper leading the Orange Cap race with a total of 422 runs with an average of 60.29 runs in eight matches. On the flip side, Kohli has scored a total of 333 runs in the eight matches of the Indian Premier League with 47.57 runs. Not only on ground, but the duo seems to get along well when it comes to off-match scenarios also. 

The smashing duo have formed a formidable opening combination also, and they share good chemistry, which reminds the fans of the Virat and AB de Villiers’ friendship. One such instance of their friendship was seen during RCB’s pre-match session when Kohli was seen imitating Faf’s batting stance, exaggerating the backlift like Faf, which left fans in splits. In a video that has been doing rounds on social media, fans were quick to notice Kohli copying his skipper during one of the RCB’s practice sessions at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.

Notably, Royal Challengers Bangalore have managed to win four out of their eight fixtures in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League, and with it, they hang at the fifth spot on the points table. They will now face Lucknow Super Giants on May 1, Monday in Lucknow.
