Following his match against DK Money at Misfits Boxing 7 on May 13, 2023, Spanish social media sensation and boxer ViruZz tested positive for a banned substance called Boldenone M1, earning him a two-year suspension and an £8K fine. The second-round amazing comeback knockout by ViruZz gave him the victory, but the suspicions of doping raise questions about the legitimacy of his victory.
One of the most painful highlights of the weekend was the Spanish fighter's come-from-behind knockout of Instagram star DK Money at Saturday's Misfits Boxing 7 event. Early in Round 2, DK Money knocked him down with a right hand, but ViruZz swiftly returned to send the American to the ground with a left-right combination that kept him there for some time.
Multiple reports claim that Viruzz had an excess of testosterone, which increases a fighter's strength. Strength grows as a result of increasing muscle mass, which is caused by testosterone. The PBA conducted a thorough check, and ten times the normal quantity of testosterone was discovered in his body. As a result, on Monday, August 7, the Misfits 007 victory over the YouTuber was overturned, along with a hefty fine and a two-year suspension.

ViruZz issues apology on Twitter
ViruZz was quick to issue his apology soon after the decision was announced against him. He took to Twitter to write a heartfelt apology and expressed remorse for his actions. He wrote on his Twitter in Spanish, but the translated version is stated below.
“Right now I can't say anything but sorry. No one had anything to do with my choice, no one knew anything about this, neither family, nor friends, nor my team. No one but me has chosen this path. I decided to do something under my responsibility and ignorance, which I do not recommend or advise. I apologize again to all the people who have counted on me giving me a chance, to the organization, and to the people who see me. Sorry for not being honest or responsible. I feel empty seeing the number of people I have failed and shamed by example. I'll talk about this in a video, -Victor.”
The Association also stated that the suspension can be reduced by a year if ViruZz enrolls in a comprehensive two-year monitoring program conducted by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) by August 212023, which is 14 days from the current date. It was also mentioned that the guilty fighter has agreed to participate in the program.
The fine amount collected will be donated towards social causes through a charity called ‘The Ringside Charitable Trust’. The decision of the match has also been altered after the verdict. The match which was initially won by ViruZz has now been declared as a ‘no decision’
