On Sunday, July 27, the much-anticipated fourth Test concluded in a draw after the visiting side, Team India held their nerves and fought hard till the final hour at the Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester. But as the match went into the final session, during the third session on day five, England captain Ben Stokes offered the Indian all-rounder pair of Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar to call off the game.

While it was a bizarre moment for the Three Lions, who had looked good and dominant in majority of the fourth Test, but incident went viral in no time with the videos doing rounds on social media. However, despite an offer from the English captain to settle for a draw, the Indian all-rounder pair stood firm and strong and decided to continue playing, leaving the English all-rounder visibly angry.

Ben Stokes’ conversation with Ravindra Jadeja revealed; video goes viral

The incident unfolded just after the 138th over when Washington Sundar was batting at 80* and Ravindra Jadeja was on strike at the score of 89*. Just before Harry Brook began to bowl the 139th over, Stokes walked upto the batters, offering to settle for a draw and shake hands. The request was soon turned down by the veteran Indian all-rounder as he along with Sundar neared their respective Test hundred.

However, after turning down Stokes’ request, both players went onto complete their centuries. While Ravindra Jadeja reached his fifth Test hundred off 182 deliveries in Harry Brook’s 18th over, Sundar completed his maiden Test ton off 206 deliveries in Brook’s 24th over.
