The ongoing Big Bash League has reached its final stage. With Perth Scorchers already sealing the finals berth, Brisbane Heat won the Challenger match at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Notably, this match is also Australian batter Daniel Christian’s last match in the Big Bash League.

After getting dismissed, the 39-year-old walked off the field and received a round of applause on return to the dugout. Cricket Australia and the BBL official handle also shared a video with the spectators raising to bid him in his final match at his home ground at Sydney Cricket Ground.

Talking about the match, the Sydney Sixers opted to bat first in the do-or-die match and posted 116 on the board. Daniel Hughes was the highest scorer for the side (23) with M Kuhnemann and Spencer Johnson picking three wickets each. However, Brisbane Heat chased the target posted by the Sixer in 18.2 overs with Michael Neser scoring the winning runs for the Heat.
