David Miller, the South African cricketer, who married his fiance Camilla Harris on March 10, relived the joyous moment of his wedding ceremony at the Gujarat Titans camp, before their IPL 2024 opener. Shubman Gill, the Gujarat Titans captain, oversaw the exchange of rings between David Miller and Camilla Harris, to the applause of the entire squad nearby.
In the last two IPL seasons, David Miller has been an integral part of the Gujarat Titans franchise, playing a key role in helping them win the title in their inaugural season in 2022, followed by an appearance in the final last year. The 34-year-old has played 32 matches for GT in the IPL, scoring over 700 runs at an average and a strike rate of over 40 and 140 respectively.
The video of David Miller with his wife Camilla Harris was posted on the official X account of the Gujarat Titans, wherein Shubman Gill helped the newly-wed couple relive their wedding ceremony. He said, “I know Millie, you have waited a long time for this moment. Here's a ring for both of you guys if you can redo the whole ceremony for us here.”
“Go down on one knee man. Do it like a gentleman,” Gill told Miller, who did the honours likewise.
In their IPL 2024 opener, Gujarat Titans will be taking on Mumbai Indians at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, March 24. This match will mark the return of Hardik Pandya, the newly appointed captain of the Mumbai Indians, to his old franchise Gujarat Titans, whom he led to two finals in the last two seasons of the tournament.
