After India had already sealed the one-day international series against West Indies with wins in the first two games, the stage was set for a dead rubber in Ahmedabad on Friday. Although the visitors showed a lot of spirit in the early stages of IND vs WI 3rd ODI with India struggling at one stage with score reading 42/3 in 9.3 overs, the middle-order did the job followed by another impressive outing from Prasidh Krishna and Co. in second half.

In the first innings, Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer notched up a crucial partnership as India posted a competitive total of 265 in 50 overs. There was no stopping the home side after that as the bowlers came out all guns blazing in the second innings, giving opposition batsmen no opportunity to settle themselves.

The star of the previous match, Prasidh Krishna, once again impressed on Friday and it was his brilliant composure during the 16th over of second innings which caught everyone's attention. The pacer was smashed for a boundary by Jason Holder (off a solid pull over square leg) on the second ball of over. However, what followed afterwards was a delight to watch for Indian fans!

Krishna kept his calm and composure as he bowled to his changed field, resulting in a dot delivery. He then beat Holder with a brilliant back-of-a-length delivery before deceiving him with a quick short-pitch ball. The experienced all-rounder was suddenly all over the place and this is when the Indian youngster provided the icing on cake, by dismissing Holder on the final ball of an epic over.
