While doing commentary for Sky Sports during day one of the fourth Test between England and India at Old Trafford, Ravi Shastri didn’t hold back in calling out Farokh Engineers who was present at the stadium in Manchester. Notably, Farokh and former West Indies captain Clive Lloyd were honoured by the Lancashire County Cricket Club before the start of the play with stands named after them at Old Trafford Cricket Ground.

Both Farokh Engineer and Clive Llyod have played for Lancashire in early 70s and were a crucial part of the club. As Farokh Engineer was present at the stadium, former India Head Coach Ravi Shastri, who doing commentary during day one of the Manchester Test, hailed him for his contribution to Indian cricket. Further, Shastri also called out Farokh for his appetite and gave him the title of ‘voracious eater.’

Ravi Shastri, who was doing commentary alongside former England cricket Nasser Hussain made a comment on Farokh Engineer when he was shown on the screen during the first Test. Listening to his commentary via earpiece, Farokh also burst out laughing after Shastri called him a ‘voracious eater.’

"Farokh, a real pin-up boy in the 60s and 70s. Hugely popular. And he has not changed over the years. A great storyteller and a voracious eater, even now. At Lunch, he heard that. His plate will be full. And I'll tell you, I will translate what he said in hindi but later, at the back of the box," Shastri said. After that, Nasser Hussain also made a cheeky remark on Shastri as he said, "He'll be just behind you in that all day buffet queue, Ravi."
