A bizarre incident took place during Glamorgan versus Middlesex County Championship Division Two 2025 match at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground. On Day 1 of the contest, a fox was viewed roaming in the middle of the ground. The video of the incident went viral on social media and several viewers of the clip couldn’t hold their laughter as the animal can also be seen urinating on a bag lying on the ground. Later, the fox was also seen running from one side of the ground to the other to return to the stands.

This isn’t the first instance when a fox interrupted a match at Lord’s iconic venue. Back in 2017, the animal broke into the ground and halted a T20 game between Middlesex and Hampshire at Lord’s. After eight years, when the similar incident happened, a commentator promptly said the “fox is back” which alludes to the famous 2017 episode related to the urban fox.

Middlesex bundle out Glamorgan on mere 199

Glamorgan were folded on 199 while batting first after losing the toss. Middlesex captain Toby Roland-Jones led the team from the front while bowling and took 3/44 figures. He was assisted by Dane Peterson, Ryan Higgins, and Zafar Gohar, who grabbed two wickets apiece.

Following the low total, Middlesex have accumulated 118 runs with a loss of two batters after batting until the first session of the second day. Stephen Eskinazi hit 39 off 93 while his opening ally Nathan Fernandes slammed 58 runs off 136 to help his team have a command over the game.

This year, a few notable Indian players might register their presence for the County Championship 2025. Yuzvendra Chahal is expected to join Northamptonshire after his Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 stint for Punjab Kings (PBKS) while Jaydev Unadkat will also be seen serving Sussex after fulfilling his contract with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the cash-rich T20 tournament.
