In match 19 of the Indian Premier League 2023, Sunrisers Hyderabad were able to defeat the hosts Kolkata Knight Riders comprehensively by 23 runs at the Eden Gardens. The star of the show for SRH was none other than their young England international Harry Brook, who smashed his first IPL century in 55 deliveries at Kolkata.

To celebrate his glorious achievement, Harry Brook tried his hand at tasting a Rasgulla. Sunrisers Hyderabad posted a short 6-second clip of the moment on their Twitter account with the caption, “Sweet dreams, #OrangeArmy.” Brook's reaction after taking a Rasgulla bite was surprisingly very good. He raised his eyebrows up and down as if to say that the sweet was reasonably delicious. Harry Brook’s face and jersey were also stained with what appeared to be a dark chocolate cake.

The unbeaten 100 from Harry Brook at Eden Gardens was the second of his T20 career thus far. He had a lean patch in the first three matches of the IPL 2023 season for the Sunrisers Hyderabad which included scores of 13(21), 3(4), and 13(14). Brook’s struggles against spin were also evident in these three innings which saw him get dismissed by Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravi Bishnoi.

Even during his hundred against KKR, Harry Brook was very cautious against the spinners in the middle overs. In one phase, he scored only 16 runs off 19 deliveries before accelerating against Lockie Ferguson by smashing him for five boundaries in one over, including a six.

Harry Brook will be in action next for Sunrisers Hyderabad against Mumbai Indians on April 18 (Tuesday night) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal. He will look forward to backing up his century with a decent score to help his team win three matches in a row in their current IPL campaign.
