The ICC Men's T20 World Cup is turning out to be quite an amazing tournament. While it is the first time a world cricket tournament of such a big magnitude is happening since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic, the tournament has reignited some of the most intense rivalries of the globe.

Amid all this, even the players and the broadcasters bringing the coverage live to our television sets are having some fun. It hasn't been easy for the broadcasters as well as they are travelling from one bio-secure bubble to another but that has not snatched away from them the fun they can have on the cricket field while bringing the game to the fans.

The broadcast team ahead of ongoing Sri Lanka and South Africa Super 12 match pulled off a hilarious prank when they wrapped up a pre-match build-up to the game in around 30 seconds.

While the host Alex Jordan introduced the guests which included Harsha Bhogle and Natalie Germanos prior to the match, she then asked the experts to give their thoughts on the match. However, both of them said that they do not have anything to say before Jordan said that it's a wrap.

However, as everyone burst into laughter she clarified that it was a producer's prank which they had pulled off and indeed there was a lot to talk about the match.

The video of the prank was shared by the T20 World Cup's social media page with the caption, "They got us. Well played, @bhogleharsha @NatalieGermanos @AlexJordanTV."

Talking about the ongoing match at Sharjah, South Africa opted to bowl first and have the Sri Lankan innings under control after a run-out which brought an end to Charith Asalanka's innings. While Pathum Nissanka has scored a half-century and is unbeaten till the filing time of this report, the only real show of intent to take the attack to the opposition was from Asalanka who made a 14-ball 21.

Later today, England and Australia will go head to head at the Dubai International Stadium.
