After Miami Dolphins Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s horrific injury against the Cincinnati Bengals during the Thursday night game, another NFL player suffered a similar concussion just a week later. Indiana Colts Running Back Nyheim Hines was taken to the locker room after he nearly collapsed after being blocked against Denver Broncos.

On the third offensive play of the game, Hines caught the ball and was hit by Broncos defenders D.J. Jones and Nik Bonitto. The play didn't seem particularly violent, but as Hines got up, his legs collapsed. He was being held up, wobbly after the tackle he took. The Colts RB was attended by the medical service and immediately was taken to the locker room for further check-up. He did not return to the game as he was ruled out before the end of the first quarter.

After the hit, Hines may have displayed "gross motor instability", which has been a major aspect of the concussion protocol currently being discussed by the NFL and NFL Players Association after Tagovailoa's concussion last week in Cincinnati.

With Nyheim Hines' injury, Deon Jackson and former Broncos player Phillip Lindsay took the responsibility. Jackson had 62 rushing yards on 13 carries and while Lindsay rushed for 40 yards on 11 carries. Indianapolis won the game in a thrilling 12-9 in overtime.
