Royal Challenger Bangalore are hosting Kolkata Knight Riders in match number 36 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. After Virat Kohli won the toss earlier in the match, he invited Nitish Rana-led side to bat first. Notably, this is the third match in which Virat Kohli is captaining the side with regular skipper Faf du Plessis coming in as Impact player.

However, to begin things for KKR, Jason Roy and N Jagadeesan provided a strong start to the side as the side accumulated 66 runs inside the powerplay. In the sixth over, which was bowled by Shahbaz Ahmed, England batter Jason Roy was seen smashing the pacer for four sixes in the over.
While he went for a hattrick of sixes after taking a run on the first ball of the over, he concluded the over hitting it for another maximum over midwicket.

Talking about the KKR, the Nitish Rana-led side is reeling on the eighth place with just two wins from seven matches. Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore are placed fifth in the points table with four wins from seven matches with eight points.
