In the 54th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Josh Inglis, the Punjab Kings (PBKS) wicketkeeper batter, smashed three sixes in a row on the bowling of Mayank Yadav of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamshala. The Aussie took liking to the pace of Mayank Yadav, who went short at him, and he managed to deposit the ball into the deep mid-wicket boundary thrice.
The three consecutive sixes on the bowling of Mayank Yadav happened following the first ball in his first over courtesy of Josh Inglis, which helped PBKS to suddenly get the flying start after the fall of in-form Priyansh Arya’s wicket cheaply. It is important to note that the PBKS management promoted Josh Inglis to number three in the batting order, a slot occupied by their captain Shreyas Iyer most of the time.

Josh Inglis kept the momentum going in his batting innings, and he ended up scoring 30 runs in just 14 balls with one four and four maximums before losing his wicket to Akash Singh on LSG debut in the IPL. Such a flying start from the right-handed batter allowed PBKS to keep the opposition batters under pressure in their innings, and at this writing, they had reached 186/4 in 17 overs with Prabhsimran Singh still at the crease with 74 runs under his belt in just 42 balls.
