Sunrisers Hyderabad owner Kavya Maran had a heartwarming reaction after Hyderabad’s sister franchise SA20’s Sunrisers Eastern Cape clinched their second consecutive title. In the final clash of South Africa’s cash-rich league, Sunrisers registered a resounding 89-run win over Durban Super Giants. Maran was present at the stadium and celebrated her team’s win with a joyful celebration.
Sunrisers EC were the best team in the recently-concluded tournament, as they finished at the top after the league stage. They made it to the final by taking down Keshav Maharaj’s side in Qualifier 1. As her team clinched their second back-to-back SA20 title, Maran, who was sitting in the stands, gave an ecstatic reaction.

Sunrisers Easters Cape expressed her delight after her team won the second consecutive SA20 title on February 10, Saturday. In a video doing rounds on social media, Kavya could be heard saying, “It’s a second cup. Back-to-back, two in a row. So glad, so happy. Best performance by the team with the bat and the ball. They have been dominating this whole season, and to finally get this through, I mean, it’s unbelievable to be winning it (title) back-to-back.”
She added, “So happy for the guys; everyone put up a great show. Very strong team that we played today, but happy to have the win at the end of the day.” Notably, Super Giants’ Heinrich Klaasen was named Player of the Tournament for hitting scoring 447 runs at a strike rate of 207.
