A day after winning the FA Cup 2024 trophy for the first time in eight years, Manchester United's opening goal-scorer against Manchester City on Saturday, Alejandro Garnacho, won another award as he grabbed the Premier League Goal of the Season award for his overhead kick against Everton on November 26.
Manchester United defeated city rivals Manchester City 2-1 at Wembley Stadium to lift the FA Cup trophy for the 13th time. On the other hand, the Red Devils ended Pep Guardiola's side's chance to clinch their second trophy of the season after winning the Premier League for the fourth consecutive season.
On November 26, 2023, Manchester United travelled to Goodison Park to face Everton in the Premier League. Erik Ten Hag's men won the match 3-0 with the Argentine forward scoring the first goal after just three minutes into the game. However, it was not a usual goal, Garnacho pulled off a sensational overhead kick and raised eyebrows with his spectacular effort. The 19-year-old forward's strike was awarded the Goal of the Season.

Talking about the 2024 FA Cup final, Manchester United youngsters Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo found the back of the net in the 30th and the 39th minutes respectively to help their side take a 2-0 lead in the first half. City forward Jeremy Doku scored the only goal for the Cityzens in the 87th minute while Erling Haaland hit the crossbar during the match.
With his goal, Garnacho becomes the first Man United teenager to score a goal in a Cup final after Cristiano Ronaldo's goal against Millwall in 2004. Apart from this, Garnacho and Mainoo became the first pair of teenagers to score a goal each in an FA Cup final.
