With the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2025 underway in Sylhet and Dhaka, the match number 17, which was played between Sylhet Strikers and Khulna Tigers saw things heat up. Bangladesh bowler Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz were seen getting into a physical fight on Sunday, January 17.
The incident took place during the second innings of the match when Khulna Tigers were chasing a target of 183. Tanzim Hasan was reintroduced into the attack to bowl in the 17th over. On the very first delivery, Tanzim picked up the wicket of Mohammad Nawaz. Batting at 33, Tanzim came around the wicket and outfoxed Nawaz with a slower delivery with the third man Zakir Hasan completing a comfortable catch.

After dismissing the Pakistan batter, Tanzim Hasan was seen saying a few words while giving him a fiery send-off. Following the fiery exchange, the two players even bumped into each other aggressively, bringing in the heat into the moment. However, the umpires and other players of the two teams had to intervene to separate the two, video of the moment have been going viral on social media.

Coming back to the match, Sylhet Strikers got off to a poor start as both the openers departed cheaply, with the scoreboard reading 15/2. After two early blows, Rony Talukdar and Zakir Hasan stitched a 106-run stand, followed by quickfire knocks from Aaron Jones and Ariful Haque to help the team post 182/5. In reply, the Khulna Tigers were restricted to 179/9 with, thus losing the game by eight runs.
