The Indian cricket team is currently locking horns with England in the ongoing five-match series of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. While the Men in Blue came into the fourth Test, underway at the Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester after going down by 22 runs in the third Test at the Lord’s, the hosts, England will aim to clinch the fourth Test and along with it claim the series. For the unversed, Ben Stokes won the toss and invited India to bat first. On the back of fifty-plus scores from Yashasvi Jaiswal (58), Sai Sudharsan (61), and Rishabh Pant (54), India posted 358 on the board. The English skipper, Ben Stokes starred with the ball, picking a fifer in his 24-over spell. In return, England have posted 544 at the loss of seven wickets at the end of third day, taking a considerable lead of 186 runs in the ongoing Manchester Test.

While the home side ended Day 2 of the fourth Test at 225/2, Joe Root run riot of the Indian bowlers with his 150 off 248 deliveries. Ben Stokes is currently at the crease, having scored unbeaten 77 off 134 deliveries alongside Liam Dawson (22* off 52). The third day also saw the Indian bowlers bounce back to pick five wickets.

Mohammed Siraj brings up Ronaldo’s SIUUU celebration after getting Woakes on Day 3

Coming back to bowl his 25th over of the England first innings, Siraj got the prized wicket of Chris Woakes on the very first ball. The Indian pacer opted to bowl a good length angling on the middle, which stayed a bit low. Woakes tried to defend, but it struck the toe-end of the bat and rolled onto the stumps to dismantle the bails. Soon after the wicket, Siraj brought his usual celebration where he can be seen emulating, famous footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo’s ‘SIUUU’.

The celebration added a light-hearted spark to an intense day of Test cricket, as it drew laughs and cheers from fans at the ground. With the Indian team needing three more wickets, they will hope to get them in the opening hour and start fresh with the bat to get back into the game in order to level the Test series.
