India’s golden boy Neeraj Chopra, who recently made history, extended his warm wishes to the Indian cricket team. The Men in Blue are scheduled to lock horns against arch-rivals Pakistan in a high-pressure game at the Asia Cup on Saturday. This comes after Chopra's historic gold-winning performance at the 2023 World Athletics Championships, where the star Indian won the men's javelin throw gold medal and claimed the top spot for India, finishing the 19th edition of the biennial with one medal.

After his heroics at the World Championships, in the Zurich Diamond League on Friday, Czech Jakub Vadlejch set a best of 85.86m, placing Chopra in second place, who measured a distance of 85.71. After his second-place finish, Chopra found time to share his wishes for the Indian team. He said in a video, “I would like to say All the best to the Indian team. Just want them to give their 100% and full efforts for the country and win the game.”

The Indian team will take on Pakistan in their first game of the Asia Cup on Saturday, at the Pallekele Stadium. India is placed alongside Pakistan and Nepal in the group for the Asia Cup. India looks like a positive side going into the high-voltage game, with many of the important players returning from injuries.
