Former Pakistan cricketer turned commentator Ramiz Raja was involved in a massive goof-up during the post-match presentation ceremony after Multan Sultans defeated the Lahore Qalandars by 33 runs at the Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan on Tuesday, April 22 in ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL). The former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, who is currently part of the commentary panel in the ongoing edition of the PSL, caught eyeballs for making a massive mistake.

Speaking at the post-match presentation, Ramiz Raja had a slip-up as he ended calling “Indian Premier League (IPL)” instead of PSL. While hosting the prsentation ceremony, Raja invited Joshua Little to take the prize sum for the Catch of the Match award, for his stunning catch of Fakhar Zaman. During the same time, the former cricketer mistakenly ended by calling it Catch of the IPL instead of PSL.

However, the video has been making rounds on social media since then, the former cricketer continued to host the ceremony without correcting his mistake. Seeing this, a lot of fans and cricket enthusiast flooded social media. While a section of Pakistan fans demanded an apology from Ramiz Raja a few others trolled him for sponsoring IPL in PSL 2025.

It is to be noted that IPL is often considered to be the best T20 league around the world, PSL has its own set of audience. However, this is the first time in the history of PSL that it is being conducted in the same window as the IPL and is also seeing a delayed start in the matches in order to garner viewership.
