The ongoing fifth Test of the five-match Test series between England and India is well poised at the moment with the hosts being asked to chase 374-run target by the visiting team at The Oval in London. After resuming the innings at 75/2 on day three, on the back of a century from Yashasvi Jaiswal (118) and fifty-plus scores from Akash Deep (66), Ravindra Jadeja (53) and Washington Sundar (53), India put up a competitive score on the board, 396/10 in 88 overs.

During their stay, a hilarious incident took place, leaving everyone around in surprise. In a lighthearted moment which unfolded on day three, saw veteran Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja request a spectator to change his shirt mid-match. However, the exact moment of the incident is not known, but it came after the Indian batter was left visibly distracted by the striking colour.

Ravindra Jadeja requests fan to change his shirt mid-way during 5 th Test; video goes viral

Jadeja during his 77-ball stay reported the matter to on-field umpire Kumar Dharamsena, who further took it forward and informed the groundstaff of the same. However, the stadium personnel first requested the spectator to change his seat, but the fan put down the request, but accepted to change the t-shirt. After his consent, a groundstaff member quickly provided him with a spare grey-coloured shirt which he opted to wear over the red one.

Amidst this, another young fan was spotted taking a seat just ahead of him, who was also seen sporting a striking red-coloured shirt. However, he wasn’t questioned much on the same as jadeja was quick to respond with a thumbs-up. While the incident has been going viral since then, fans also hailed Jadeja’s personality.

Speaking of the match, at the close of day three’s play, England had put up 50 runs with Ben Duckett unbeaten at 34 and Zak Crawley falling off Mohammed Siraj’s brilliant delivery. While England need 324 runs to claim the fifth Test as well as the series, India need only nine wickets.
