Indian cricketer Rinku Singh has officially been engaged to Samajwadi Party pm Priya Saroj in a private ceremony in Lucknow on June 8. The couple exchanged rings in an event attended by some of the renowned names like politician Akhilesh Yadav, BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla, Bollywood actress Jaya Bachchan and more. Several photos and videos have been circulating online from Rinku and Priya’s wedding.
After the engagement, both Rinku Singh and Priya Saroj were seen celebrating their new journey and could be seen dancing along with their friends and relatives. While Priya was seen dancing with full energy, Rinku seemed to have awkwardness while dancing and looked confused as he was looking here and there.

Priya Saroj shed tears of joy after engagement with Rinku Singh
While Rinku Singh and Priya Saroj were exchanging rings during the engagement ceremony, the Samajwadi MP couldn’t control her tears as she was left emotional during the event. The engagement ceremony took place at Centrum Hotel in Lucknow attended by some of high-profile names in the politics, cricket and entertainment. The couple is likely to get married in November 2025.
Rinku Singh has established himself as a renowned Indian cricketer in the last few years with his performances. He earned the limelight for his famous five sixes against Yash Dayal during IPL 2023. Rinku finished as KKR’s leading run scorer that year amassing 474 runs from 14 matches, After that, he also earned maiden India call in 2023. Till now he has played 33 T20Is and two ODIs for India scoring 601 runs in the both the formats in both the formats combined.
Talking about Priya Saroj, she is daughter of Tufani Saroj and one of the youngest MPs in India at the age of 25 years and represents the Machhlishahr constituency in Uttar Pradesh. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, she defeated BJP’s BP Saroj by over 35000 votes. Priya’s father confirmed that she and Rinku had known each other for more than one year and both the families agrees to their marriage.
