A brilliant display on the field by captain AB de Villiers followed by a great follow through catch by Sarel Enwee put South Africa Champions on front-foot in the ongoing World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025 clash against India Champions at the County Ground in Hampshire. While chasing a target of 209 runs, India Champions had a poor start as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. They were reduced to 28/4 under six overs after which Yusuf Pathan and Stuart Binny took charge of the innings.
Yusuf Pathan and Stuart Binny were looking to stabilize the Indian innings before Pathan attempted a six off Imran Tahir’s delivery in the eighth over. However, he couldn’t time it well as AB de Villiers was running towards the boundary line and ended up grabbing the ball before he lost his balance. As AB De Villiers was falling near the boundary line, he threw the ball towards Sarel Enwee who went on to complete a spectacular catch as India Champions lost their fifth wicket at the score of 44 runs in 7.1 overs before the rain came as a spoilsport.
