Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi got a gold-plated iPhone 16 Pro from his team Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025. PSL received ire from its fans for awarding hair dryers and beard trimmers to players of the matches. However, Qalandars gifted their captain Shaheen the customised version of iPhone on Easter and became the centre of attention. They celebrated the festival with joy along with other players and members of supporting staff as well. The speedster received the phone in the box which he disclosed and it turned out to be a phone.

Taking to X, the Qalandars team management posted the video and wrote, "Our Captain Qalandar receives a gift he's worthy of. A custom 24K Gold-plated IPhone 16 Pro, made just for Lahore Qalandars' main man, Shaheen!" The gift impressed Shaheen’s teammate and England batter Sam Billings. Lahore’s ace pacer Haris Rauf also reacted to Shaheen’s gift as he started the banter saying, rewarding iPhone to the captain only is unfair.

Lahore to take on Multan Sultans on Apil 22

Lahore will lock horns with Multan Sultans on April 22. The Shaheen Afridi-led side won their previous match by 65 runs against Karachi Kings on April 15. After a week, they will look to beat Mohammad Rizwan and co. and aim to add two more crucial points to their profile.

Qalandars have looked decent in the tournament thus far. After kicking off their campaign with an eight-wicket loss against defending champions Islamabad United in the opening game, they went on to win two consecutive games. Currently, they are placed in the third spot on the points tally with their couple of triumphs and a defeat. Talking about Multan, they are at the bottom of the table with three losses off their three outings.
