Punjab Kings are currently locking horns with bottom-placed Delhi Capitals in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). The two sides are back on the field after last playing a match on May 13 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, where Punjab beat Capitals to keep their playoffs hope alive.
However, in the ongoing match, which is also the first at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala, PBKS skipper Shikhar Dhawan pulled off a screamer to dismiss David Warner. On the second delivery of the 11 th over, Dhawan called in Sam Curran into the attack again. While he bowled a slower delivery on the first, he continued that on the next as Warner stepped out to smash it in the air.
Dhawan, who was positioned at cover flew to his left to grab the ball and complete a beautiful catch, giving his side the first breakthrough after Warner looked settled on the crease. With this catch, DC opening pair of Warner and Shaw failed to complete a century partnership with Warner adding 46 off 31 deliveries.
