After a slow start, the Indian team has managed to comfortably come back against Sri Lanka in the third T20Is of the series. The star of this brilliant batting performance is once again Suryakumar Yadav. Living up to Mr 360 nickname,  Surya smashed pacer Dilshan Madushanka for an outrageous six.

On the second ball of the 12th over, SKY smashed a pre-meditated paddle shot, while falling across on the shot, for a 75m six over the short fine leg boundary. Then in the next few balls, Yadav hit Madushanka 15 more runs to complete his half-century.

The Indian batter then proceeded to hit an incredible century in just 45 balls and ended the innings with nine fours and seven sixes. Thanks to Suryakumar Yadav's third T20I century, the Men in Blue managed to post a formidable 228-total in the first innings.

In the mid-innings interview,  Yadav talked about how elated he was with his century. He then talked about how this inning will be a fresh start to 2023 as he wants to improve on his previous year.

He said, "I'm really happy with the way the innings went. Captain winning the toss and batting first showed faith in the batters, few shots are pre-determined, but these are the shots I've been playing over the last year and I'm not doing anything different. The 2022 form is gone, it's a fresh start in 2023 and I hope to continue doing well. It's a good pitch, with a nice bounce and a lush outfield."
