Paul “Triple H” Levesque, the WWE Chief Content Officer, has officially confirmed that popular streaming platform Netflix will be the new destination for all the live and exclusive programming of the wrestling promotion in India from April 1, 2025 onwards. After Netflix joined hands with WWE by shelling out a whopping $5 billion to stream all their shows on the platform at the start of 2025, it was only a matter of time before the deal became applicable in India.

Notably, the Netflix era of the WWE began with an episode of Monday Night Raw from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles on January 6, 2025, but it wasn’t broadcasted in India on the platform. It was because Sony Sports Network still holds the rights to TV and online broadcasting of the WWE content in India, and their deal with the promotion is set to conclude on March 31, 2025.

WrestleMania 41 will be live in India on Netflix this April

In one of the latest videos shared by Netflix India on their official X account, Triple H could be seen announcing the arrival of WWE content on the platform starting April 1, which will include weekly live shows like Raw, SmackDown, and NXT apart from Premium Live Events (PLE), including WrestleMania. There will also be new and exclusive archival content from the WWE vault available for the Indian wrestling fans on Netflix, while having the option to stream content on demand.

The official press release concerning the announcement read, “Beginning April 1, 2025, Netflix will become the exclusive new home for WWE in India. As part of Netflix’s long-term partnership with the sports entertainment company, Indian fans will be able to stream all of WWE’s weekly flagship shows — Raw, NXT, and SmackDown — as well as WWE’s Premium Live Events including SummerSlam, Money in the Bank, Royal Rumble and the upcoming WrestleMania.”
